Used a lot of vegetables that were close to going bad, and then cooked a meal with it!

I've been travelling this weekend only by bus and by foot. I found it very relaxing, without the subconscious anxiety of driving (fuel, parking space, accident risks).

Always check packaging for third party accreditations i.e. Fairtrade, MSC, Soil Association, Free Range, Organic. every little helps in making a change, and ingredient for a tasty meal.

Knowing what fruit and veg is seasonal is sometimes really hard, I often forget whether something is in season and accidentally buying things which aren't. I have now found this website Eufic, where you can explore what fruit and veg are in season.

It is really difficult! In the UK we have so many foods imported year round, that it's tough to know what is actually locally in season. Strawberries, for example, grow in the UK for so much of summer, but they're still sold in the winter - but only as imports from warmer countries. Thanks for sharing this useful resource!
